Masayoshi “Yoshi” Haynie, Founder of the Law School Mentor
Masayoshi "Yoshi" Haynie is a fourth-year transactional corporate associate at Faegre Drinker in Chicago, focusing most of his work in the M&A/PE space. He began his career at a top-10 firm where he worked on teams to help close approximately $30 billion in deals. He received a bachelor's degree in Journalism with an emphasis in Radio and Television Sports Broadcast from the University of Missouri in 2016 before deciding to pursue a career in law. He went on to receive his Juris Doctorate from UIC law school in May 2020, where he graduated cum laude and landed on the Dean's list every semester.
He's the founder and CEO of The Mentor, Inc. where he started two programs: The Law School Mentor and The Med School Mentor. Both programs exist to provide the resources, access, and assistance to those in the legal and medical field through mentorship.
Jenine Nwoko, Principal Attorney at CJN Law Group
Ms. Nwoko is the principal attorney at CJN Law Group focused primarily on entertainment and business law matters. She represents talent, creatives, and companies in brand deals, partnerships, and other deals in the music, film, and TV industries. She also works on intellectual property matters, such as trademarks, copyrights, and infringement pertaining to those.
Prior to starting her own firm, she worked in business litigation (Manning, Gross +
Massenburg LLP), entertainment transactional & litigation matters (Alter, Kendrick & Baron LLP;
Doniger & Burroughs, P.C.), and serving as in-house counsel for independent artist development companies.
Jennine is also a certified NBA agent and works at a boutique sports agency, COL Sports.
Sunga Mkwezalamba, Amazon Attorney, Principal at Stradford Venture Partners
Sunga Mkwezalamba is an entrepreneur, attorney at Amazon, and principal at Stradford Venture Partners, where he focuses on scaling African startups. Sunga has a diverse professional background, having worked in policy at the African Union and founded startups in various industries, including legal services, apparel, food, and beverages.
Sunga is also the founder of ZIMRothschild, a lifestyle brand launched in 2019. ZIMRothschild is dedicated to individuals identified as
"Unicorns"-those who are purpose-driven and strive to make positive changes in their communities.
Additionally, Sunga is involved with several impact organizations, including the Learning Centre in Malawi and the Black Men Lawyers Association. His education includes a J.D. and B.S. from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
